Taste of Iceland in Seattle 2019

The famous festival celebrating Iceland’s unique culture returns to Seattle October 11-20, 2019!

Kicking off on October 11, Iceland Naturally welcomes Seattle to experience Icelandic culture with the return of the renowned Taste of Iceland! Back for its 12th year, the festival immerses Seattle in the best of Iceland’s culture, showcasing the nation’s cuisine, music, literature, film and more with a variety of events throughout the city.

Throughout Taste of Iceland, festival goers will even have a chance to win a trip to Iceland! To celebrate 10 years of Icelandair servicing Seattleites, Taste of Iceland teamed up with the airline to bring Washingtonians a chance to win a fabulous 10-day trip to Iceland among other exciting, Icelandic prizes with the #SEAcloseup Challenge! From October 9-19, 2019, Icelandair representatives will be hosting the #SEAcloseup Challenge to test your knowledge of Seattle and Icelandair.

To play: On each day of the contest, a close-up photo and clue of a Puget Sound area location will be posted on Icelandair’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, each highlighting Seattle’s connection to her Icelandic sister city of Reykjavik. Comment your guess of the location – along with “#SEAcloseup” – for the chance to win that day’s prize. Each day’s winner will be chosen randomly from all correct answers submitted across Icelandair’s social media accounts. On October 19, 2019, the winners from each of the 10 days will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize of an amazing 10-day trip to Iceland, with the prizewinner announced during the Taste of Iceland “Reykjavik Calling,” concert at KEXP – Seattle Center.

Interested in attending these exciting events and getting a real feel for Icelandic culture? RSVP to Reykjavík Calling, a cocktail class and more Icelandic events on Facebook and be sure to share your experience with us on Instagram and Twitter by tagging @IcelandNatural with #TasteofIceland and #INTurns20 to help us celebrate 20 years of Iceland Naturally.
