Witness Iceland’s most talented dancers and choreographers during this four-day event.
The Reykjavik Dance Festival returns to Iceland’s capital city this November for the final iteration of 2014. From November 26 through the 29, artists and audiences will come together to experience an exciting program of work. The festival is a center for choreographic practices in Iceland, bringing the work of both domestic and international artists to local audiences.
Throughout the year, RDF hosts four micro-festivals that promote continual conversations surrounding dance and artistic expression. In addition to the festivals, RDF hosts workshops led by international artists, theorists, and curators in an effort to feed the Icelandic scene with new impulses and discursive contexts.
Participating artists for this edition of the Reykjavik Dance Festival, include performers from around the globe:
Halla Ólafsdóttir and Amanda Apetrea
Ásrún Magnúsdóttir and Alexander Roberts
Erna Ómarsdóttir, Valdimar Jóhannsson and Shalala
