“Holocene,” off of Bon Iver’s self-titled album captures Iceland’s natural beauty by telling a story of a young boy’s journey through volcanic plains and and iceberg-speckled coastline.
“[Iceland] is the most magical place in the world,” Nabil Elderkin, the director, told National Geographic. Not only does Elderkin do a beautiful job of capturing the purity of Iceland’s countryside, but he incorporates imagery of Icelandic culture and history as well.
“Holocene” is the second single released from the album, Bon Iver, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard top 200.
