Björk and performance artist Ragnar Kjartansson are appearing together at New York art fair the Armory Show as part of the event’s ‘Nordic Focus’ this week (Thursday March 8th).
In the wake of winning Icelandic Music Awards for the ‘Performer Of The Year’ category and Biophilia at Harpa (Event Of The Year), Björk, who completes her New York residency on Monday March 5th, will be in conversation with Kjartansson as part of the Armory Show’s Open Forum series of talks.
The discussion takes place on Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm under the title ‘Accumulation and Regeneration’. The pair will discuss the intersection of art, nature and technology.
The event is part of a series organized by Amanda Parmer of discussions between Nordic and New York artists, curators, critics, and art historians hosted at the fair’s media lounge on Pier 94. For more information on the Armory Show, click here.
